
Matheo Pérez is a Product Designer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (2025), with complementary studies in lighting and interiors at Universidad IBERO Puebla (2024). Since 2025 he has been part of Studio Antimundo, where he works as a designer of specialized installation and mounting systems, developing technical and structural solutions for artworks under the creative direction of Oscar Santillán. His work focuses on the design and production of highly complex technical pieces, particularly in metal, laser cutting, and parametric systems, as well as the development of installation manuals and the supervision of fabrication processes. He has participated in exhibition projects such as Qué se siente ser tierra (2025) at the Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, where he designed the works Paradoxa I and Paradoxa II, in addition to the exhibition devices for Solaris and La Noche. In 2026 he was part of Oscar Santillán’s pavilion at the Saudi Arabia Biennale, directing the production of the work Terraforming Darkness. His practice is oriented toward the application of new manufacturing, design, and research technologies for the development of experimental systems and pieces, with advanced proficiency in Autodesk Fusion 360, Adobe Illustrator, and 3D printing and laser-cutting technologies across diverse materials.
